Sangaree Special Tax District Advisory Commission

Five resident property owners are appointed by County Council to serve on Sangaree Special Tax District Advisory Commission. The Advisory Commission advises County Council of the nature and level of services desired by the residents and homeowners within the Tax District. The Advisory Commission also recommends an annual budget that provides sufficient revenue from ad valorem taxes to defray the costs and expenses for providing the services.

The services are provided by the use of the County employees and equipment or by contract with private agencies approved by County Council.

Resident property owners interested in serving on Sangaree Special Tax District Advisory Commission should attend a scheduled Tax District meeting or contact the Tax District office at 871-9720 or sstd@sc.rr.com for more information.

Currently, Tax District meetings are held quarterly on the first Tuesday of February, May, August and November. The meetings are open to the public.

The meeting times and locations are announced in the Sangaree Source newsletter and posted on the Sangaree website.
